Top of the pops

Your top 5 is a very precious thing. An armful full of candidates vying for a handful of slots.

Therefore it is with some consideration that I dare to offer you 'Reign over me' (Adam Sandler & Don Cheadle) as a movie of top 5 proportions. Now I'm not saying it does make my top 5. I am simply suggesting that this is the type of movie that would turn up suitably dressed to my top 5 cocktail party. It would not be out of place with other guests such as 'The Green Mile' or 'Big Fish'.

I like movies that offer me a personal challenge. However 'convenient' I found the resolution of this movie the inconvenient solution was only found through an example of unconditional acceptance that challenged me on the way I look at some of the uncomfortable people of our world.

This isn't a movie review so I am not going to tell you any more about the film but if you are looking for another excuse to throw away another couple hours of your life for the cause of cinema watch 'Reign over me' and let me know what yout think.
